Short Solution


  1. Sign into Admin Centre (https://portal.azure.com ) 
  2. Select Azure Active Directory > Users > All users
  3. Search for and select the member you would like to reset the password for. 
  4. For the selected member, select Reset password
  5. On Reset password screen, select Reset password
  6. A temporary password is displayed that you can then provide to the member. The member will be asked to then change their password the next time they logon

Long Solution

  1. Open a browser (e.g. Chrome, IE, etc.) 
  2. Go to https://portal.azure.com 
  3. Sign in using your RCDSO full email address then click Next ( Figure 1 Sign in prompt) (Note: if you have previously signed in it may ask you to pick an account if this happens select you RCDSO email address ( Figure 2 Pick account prompt) 
    1. If asked if this is a Work/school or personal account select Work or school account (Figure 3 Work/School or Personal Prompt )

4. When prompted for your password please use your RCDSO computer password (Figure 4 Password Prompt )

5. If prompted to Stay signed in? select No

6. Once signed into the Azure portal (Figure 6 Azure Portal ) ensure you are connected to the RCDSOMEMBER Portal (Figure 7 RCDSO Member Portal )
a. If you are not connected to the RCDSOMEMBER Portal (Figure 7 RCDSO Member Portal ), click the directory and subscription filter and select the RCDSOMEMBER subscription (Figure 8 Select RCDSOMEMBER portal )

7. Once you have confirmed you are connected to the RCDSOMEMBER portal click Azure Active Directory (Figure 9 Azure Active Directory) in the left panel of the screen.

8. On the Active Directory screen under the Mange section click on Users (Figure 10 Manage Users ) to open the user search screen.

9. On the user management screen search for the member using the member username/member ID in the Name field (Figure 11 User Search )

10. Once a member is found click the checkbox to the left of the member's name/member ID (Figure 12 Select Account )

11. With account selected click Rest password at the top of the screen (Figure 13 Reset Password )

12. On the reset password screen, click Reset password (Figure 14 Reset Password Screen ). The next screen will display a temporary password that should be provided to the member.

13. The member will be prompted to change their password the next time they log into the portal.
