Microsoft Teams – Installation Guide

All users must follow the instructions under "Teams installation on work computer" to download and install Teams on your work computer (laptop/desktop) only.

For users who are remotely accessing their computer using Mobikey, Remote Desktop or Citrix, if you are participating in a audio/video call, follow the set of instructions under "Teams access on personal computer".

Teams installation on work computer (for all users):

To install teams on your work computer, please follow the instructions below:

1. Open a web browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge are recommended) and navigate to https://teams.microsoft.com/

2. Log in with your RCDSO email and password (email and password which you use to sign into your computer).

3. When asked to stay signed in, check “Don’t show this again” and select “No.”

4. Once logged in, you will be forwarded to the Teams download page. Please click on the "Get Windows app" button.

5. This will start the Teams download and once the download is complete, please click on the downloaded file to start the installation.

6. Once the installation is complete, Teams will launch automatically and will ask you to enter a username and password. Please use your RCDSO email and password to sign into Teams.

The instructions below must be followed by remote users who use Mobikey, Remote Desktop and Citrix to access their computers at work.

This will allow you to talk to other users over Teams audio and video calls.

Teams access on personal computer (for Mobikey, Remote Desktop and Citrix):

To open Teams on your home/personal computer, please follow the steps below:

1. Open a web browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge are recommended) and navigate to https://teams.microsoft.com/

2. Log in with your RCDSO email and password (email and password which you use to sign into your computer).

3. When asked to stay signed in, check “Don’t show this again” and select “No.”

4. Once logged in, you will be forwarded to the Teams download page. Please click on the "Use the web app instead" button.

Please note that the steps below will need to be followed every time you wish to access Teams via web application.
